Parsnips is two things side by side on Teddington High Street: a delicatessen stocked with locally sourced produce, and a café next door. In the deli you’ll find British cheeses, fresh sourdough and artisan charcuterie, the makings of a very good picnic or a lazy weekend lunch.
The café keeps it simple and comforting, with pancakes, sourdough toasties, hot soup, cakes and pastries baked in-house, barista coffee, and soft-serve ice cream for the walk home. If you’re down by the river, there’s a sister café, Parsnips in the Park, at Radnor Gardens.
